Quantune Technologies is a deep-tech startup founded in Berlin in 2019 with the mission to bring a new lab-on-a-chip mid-infrared spectrometer for monitoring molecules, in particular biomarkers to health and medtech markets. Our success is based on award-winning and disruptive proprietary technology and a strong team of excellent individuals with backgrounds in the fields of physics, medicine, biotechnology, electrical engineering, software development and economics. We have our own well-equipped specialized laboratories in Berlin-Adlershof, where we enjoy realizing a really cool technology for meaningful applications.
Your tasks
In order to strengthen our development of a new, miniaturized infrared spectrometer, we are looking for you as an energetic Physical-Technical Assistant (PhyTA) who supports the R&D team with both hands in building up and running experiments, in maintaining instruments, in assembling high-tech components and by taking care that supplies do not run out. The position is embedded in a small but powerful team and it requires an independent way of working along with a high degree of reliability and precision. With your detailed overview of our equipment, you are the heart of our tech team.
Mandatory requirements
- Education: „Staatlich geprüfter technischer Assistent für Physik“ or similar.
- Professional experience: Minimum three years in industry.
- Way of working: Hands-on mentality in the laboratory (solution-oriented, pro-active problem mitigation, autonomous) with a focus on supporting the R&D team in improving the product.
- Technological skills: Good understanding of physical measuring instruments, experienced in sample preparation and soldering as well as in working with lasers, gases and chemicals, and trained in lab safety.
- Language skills: Fluent English and/or German language skills.
- Team work: Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.
- General skills: Conscientiousness, reliability, self-reliance, and conciseness.
- Location: Willingness to work on site in Berlin-Adlershof.
- Legal: Work permit in Germany.
Preferred requirements
- Specialist knowledge (the more the better): Microscopy, sample preparation, computer- and ARM-based measurement devices, spectroscopy, lasers, electronic semiconductor devices, basics in script-based data evaluation.
